Maggie M. House Ward, 97, Russellville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. The 2 p.m. funeral will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Popular Creek Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William O. Ward; parents, Houston and Evelyn House; sister, Francis Holliman.

She is survived by her son, Gene Ward and wife, Carolyn; grandchildren, Sheila Ward Underwood and husband, Greg, Duncan E. Ward and wife, Melanie; great grandchildren, Jake Ward and Kelbi Underwood.

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Santos and staff and Terrace Manor Nursing Home and staff for their kind and considerate care of their mother and grandmother.
