J. C. Holt, 89, Russellville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at his residence.

He was a native of Tennessee but had lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was retired from Franklin Electric Cooperative.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Franklin Memory Gardens with Jeff Fleming officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.

Survivors include his children, Timothy Norris Holt and wife, Cindy, St. Augustine, Fla., Dolores Forse and husband, Tom, Gardendale; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; special niece, Faye Credille; nephew, Barry Holt; special friend, Jolene Stockton.

Pallbearers will be John Mayfield, Jimmy Mayfield, Ray Hargett, Barry Hargett, Linden Miller and Tommy Burcham.

He was preceded in death by wife, Chlorice Holt.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 104 South Poplar Street, Florence, Alabama 35630.
