James Earl Mayhall, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Itawamba County, Miss., and was a logger.

Services were Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Burial was in Berry Cemetery.

Survivors are two children, Vickie Oliver, Golden, Miss., and Jimmy Mayhall, Fulton, Miss.; one brother, Leonard Mayhall, Fulton, Miss.; one sister, Kathleen Simmons, Fulton, Miss. and six step-children, Ann Mayhall, Betty Buchanan, Edward Pitts, John Pitts, Bobby Pitts and Tommy Pitts.
