City man killed in car wreck

A Russellville man was killed in a one-vehicle accident just outside of Russellville Saturday evening, authorities said.
Officials with the Quad Cities State Troopers Post said Tommy Pounders, 58, of Lawrence Street in Russellville, sustained multiple blunt force traumas, which Franklin County Coroner Elzie Malone listed as the cause of death.
Officials said the wreck occurred at 5:42 p.m. on Franklin 60.
Pounders’ daughter, Shanna Pounders, 35, was a passenger in the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to Russellville Hospital where she was then transferred to Huntsville Hospital.
On Tuesday, hospital officials said Shanna Pounders was still at the hospital and was listed in good condition.
