Watching Dixie Youth takes me back

It’s hard to believe that this summer marks 10 years since I have played organized baseball.

My last year was on a 12-13 little league baseball team. Walker County at the time played Dizzy Dean, not Dixie Youth like teams from around here.

That said, the two are basically the same. Watching the Russellville 12 and Under All-Stars took me back to my playing days.

I played in every position at one time or another, and baseball was the reason I developed such a passion for sports.

I often wonder if I still have such a passion for sports.

(Then I look at my job title.)

Well, that answers that.
