Wayne Winford Pickard, 75, of Phil Campbell, Ala. died Monday, October 10, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family.
The visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Akins Funeral Home prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service in the chapel with Bro. James McCullar officiating.  The service will conclude with military honors. Interment will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Minnie Lee Pickard; brothers, J.D. Pickard, Russell Pickard, and Denver Pickard; sister, Melberta Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Pickard; daughter, Kimberly Lindsey; sisters, Elnora Hyde, Sue Foster and husband, Ray; brother, Willard Pickard and wife, Pearly; granddaughter, Shae Norris; grandson, William Trace Norris; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was an army veteran. He will be dearly missed.
