Betty Jean Nichols Welch, 77, of Russellville, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerry Hester officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adam “Brock” Nichols; mother, Mary Ann Nichols; sister, Rena Sue Whitaker; sister-in-law, Frances Nichols, and niece, Pamela Sue Whitaker Russell.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Welch; son, Eddie Nichols and his wife, Helen, of Russellville; granddaughters, Brandi Nichols and her husband, Ray, of  Muscle Shoals, Mary Beth Nichols, of Russellville; brother, Neal Marshall Nichols,  and his wife, Kathy, of Russellville; sister, Annie Mae Nicholson  and her husband, J.W., of  Moulton, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were her nephews.

She lived life to the fullest always with a smile and a laugh.
