Jerry Wayne Stone, 77, of Phil Campbell, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Stone was a native of Franklin County and attended the Baptist church.  He was retired from Flowers Bakery Company as a bread truck driver and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

The graveside service was held Friday, May 6, 2011 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Phil Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Stone, of Phil Campbell; children, Reita Posey and husband, Jerry, of Belgreen, Tim Stone, of Hodges; brothers, Weldon Stone, of Russellville, James Stone, of Muscle Shoals; sister, Polly Singleton, of Gulf Shores, Ala.; grandchildren, Jerad Posey and Christy Posey; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethridge and Jessie Stone; brothers, Billy Joe Stone, Johnny Stone, and Jack Stone.

Kay Landers, 78, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Akins Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Keith Barnett officiating.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl A. Sponseller; parents, Harold and Luna Mason.

She is survived by her husband Lowell L. Landers; children, Judy Bailey, Dale Sponseller, Gary Sponseller, Dana Sponseller; brothers, Robert Mason, Delbert Mason, Henry Louis Mason and Carlos Mason; two grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
