Cooporation between agencies key to rescue

There are times when various law enforcement agencies involved in an investigation or a search fight for control, but when a 4-year-old Franklin County boy disappeared Thursday several local and state agencies worked together to find the young child lost outdoors in freezing temperatures.

Through good coordination and cooperation the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, officers from the Russellville Police Department, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, the North Alabama Search Dog team and the Northwest Alabama State Trooper’s rescue helicopter were able to avoid a tragedy.
