Weekend call leads to three arrests on drug charges

Two Franklin County residents and one Lauderdale County resident were arrested Sunday on drug charges, authorities said.

Glendon Ashley, 35, and Tobi Hall, 27, both of 1888 Franklin 28 in Red Bay; and Jamie Milam, 33, of 211 Britt Court in Florence were arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to authorities, officers with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received a call concerning a car parked on Winchester Road with an air compressor strapped to it that the caller believed could be stolen.

When deputies arrived on the scene to question the subjects, officers discovered a syringe in plain view on the dashboard of the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle yielded several items of drug paraphernalia as well as a shotgun.

Both the car and the air compressor are being held to make sure the property was not stolen.
