Better late then never – Helping Santa a success
Organizers of the Helping Santa Project in Russellville were a little concerned when early donations were sparse, but area citizens responded late to help make the program a success.
While it took a while for the donations to roll in, people did remember this time of year is about giving and give they did.
The program, which provides toys to needy children, received several donations last week to help 506 children.
Most of us have fond memories of unwrapping gifts as children. Thanks to all the people who donated toys and money, needy children in the community will have the opportunity to experience that joy firsthand.
Christmas will be a little more special this year for some families, and good memories is one of the greatest gifts somebody can give.
Thanks to all who made the Helping Santa Project a success this year. Your donations will not be forgotten — especially by the families receiving those toys to help make their children’s Christmas special.
