New program taking active role in future of area youths

The newly formed partnership between the Children’s Policy Council, Franklin County Community Education, the YES Foundation and the Franklin County Extension Office is something our community needs.

These individuals are looking to make Franklin County a better place, starting with the county’s youth, by providing safe and wholesome programs and activities that families in the area can enjoy.

These people are also looking to train and prepare these same children to become a beneficial part of the workforce in this area, which could help attract new industry.

There are many good things about Franklin County, but an organization that is actively seeking to provide educational — as well as fun — community-based programs can only help our county progress in a positive way.

Kudos to these individuals for being willing to invest in the future of Franklin County’s children.
