Bond set for suspected bank robber
Pollard was apprehended last Thursday in Tunica, Miss. Pollard chose to waive extradition and was held by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office until he could be transported back to Alabama.
Franklin County District Judge Paula McDowell set Pollard’s bond at $500,000 on Tuesday morning.
“We are pleased that this defendant’s bond has been set high,” Franklin County District Attorney Joey Rushing said. “We asked the judge to set a high bond based on the severity of the offense and the fact that Mr. Pollard has already shown a willingness to flee the area when he went to Tunica after the robbery.
“Based on the facts, a high bond was appropriate in this case.”
