Man sent back to jail following short release
A Russellville man is on his way back to prison after breaking into a residence only three weeks after being released on previous burglary and theft charges.
Franklin County Circuit Judge Terry Dempsey revoked the probation of Chad Everett Cochran, 27, and ordered he serve the eight and a half years that were left of his 10-year sentence.
Cochran was charged with second-degree theft of property and third-degree burglary after he stole prescription medication from a home he had broken into on a previous occasion.
“This is a good example of the destructive effects tat drug use can have on your life,” Franklin County District Attorney Joey Rushing said.
“Hopefully Mr. Cochran will receive drug counseling while he is serving out his sentence.”
