Local church hosting Beth Moore simulcast
Women of Franklin County will have a chance to hear renowned Christian author and speaker, Beth Moore, at a live simulcast Saturday, Sept. 18, at 9:30 a.m., hosted by Calvary Baptist Church on Highway 43 in Russellville.
The event is presented through LifeWay Women’s Events in partnership with Living Proof Ministries, a Christian organization founded by Moore in 1994 with the purpose of teaching women about the value of the Bible and how to live out its teachings in day-to-day life.
Dr. Wade Wallace, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, is excited about the event.
“We’ve done a lot of Beth Moore studies here at the church and several of our ladies have gone to Beth Moore conferences and really enjoyed it,” Wallace said.
Calvary is one of only six churches in the state to be hosting the simulcast. Moore will be speaking in Illinois, but the event will be broadcast live through high-speed Internet delivery to participating churches.
Worship leader Travis Cottrell will also join Moore for the event.
“We thought that this would be a good opportunity for the women in our church as well as the women in the community and surrounding areas to get to hear Beth Moore speak,” Wallace said. “Moore can really draw ladies closer to the Lord and closer to each other.”
Tickets for the event are $15 per person, which includes lunch, and can be purchased at the Calvary Baptist Church office. Individuals and groups are welcome.
