Red Bay falls 26-21
LEXINGTON — Red Bay rallied from a 26-7 halftime deficit, but Lexington held on in the end to earn a 26-21 victory and take an early lead in the region standings.
The Golden Bears led 26-7 at halftime, but the Tigers added a touchdown in the third quarter and another in the fourth.
Red Bay (1-1, 0-1) out rushed Lexington 173-71 and picked up 10 first downs while limiting the Golden Bears to five.
Lexington won the turnover battle by recovering a pair of Red Bay fumbles.
The Tigers host Colbert Heights next week.
