Marion County man arrested during traffic stop

A Marion County man was arrested after a traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Alabama 247 and Franklin 84, authorities said.

Investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Timothy Bain Stidham, 33, 295 Marion 407, Guin is charged with second-degree attempted unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and driving under the influence.

Authorties said after making a routine traffic stop, Stidham appeared to be under the influence and was asked to step out of the vehicle.

Investigators said upon search of the vehicle, components used in the manufacturing of meth were found inside.

Stidham is being held at the Franklin County jail pending bond.
