2010 All-County Baseball Team announced

Ryan Bowling Pitcher, Russellville — Bowling compiled an 11-3 record with a 2.50 ERA on the mound for the Golden Tigers by striking out 72 opposing batters in 67 innings pitched to earn an All-State Honorable Mention.

Morgan McCarley Pitcher, Vina — McCarley had a 4-2 record and a pair of saves with a 2.36 ERA for the Red Devils in 32.2 innings of work, allowing 15 hits and striking out 60 opposing batters. He had one no-hitter.

Trevor Hallmark Catcher, Tharptown — Hallmark had a .524 batting average with four home runs and 32 RBIs for the Wildcats.

John Batchelor First Baseman, Russellville — Batchelor had a .386 batting average, 51 hits, 15 doubles and drove in 69 runs for the Golden Tigers.

Brent Townsend Second Baseman, Vina — Townsend had a batting average of .400, had 42 hits, scored 32 runs ad stole 40 bases for the Red Devils and earned All-State First Team honors.

Nathan Vincent Shortstop, Russellville — Vincent had a .411 batting average, hit 10 doubles and eight homers, scored 48 runs and had 43 RBIs for the Golden Tigers and earned an All-State Honorable Mention.

Jordan Benford Third Baseman, Phil Campbell – Benford had a .414 batting average, scored 41 runs, had 29 RBIs, hit 11 doubles and three homers for the Bobcats.

Jake Ward Outfielder, Russellville — Ward had a batting average of .514, had 69 hits, scored 55 runs, hit 19 doubles and drove in 42 runs for the Golden Tigers while earning an All-State Honorable Mention.

Bailey Welborn Outfielder, Phil Campbell — Welborn had a .359 batting average, had 21 RBIs, scored 19 runs and hit seven doubles and three homers for the Bobcats.

Ethan Blanton Outfielder, Red Bay — Blanton had a .407 batting average, hit nine doubles and led the Tigers with 35 runs scored.

Clay Pierce Designated Hitter, Vina — Pierce had a .493 average hitting third in the Red Devils’ lineup and had 40 hits, four doubles and 27 RBIs in 81 at bats.
