William Doyle Bratcher

William Doyle Bratcher, 62, of Tuscumbia passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Colbert County to James Ellis and Martha Lou Duvall Bratcher.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary Wayne Bratcher and James Elvin Bratcher; and nephew, Jerry Wayne Bratcher.
He is survived by his special love of 24 years, Mildred Vandiver; daughter, Cindy Bratcher, of Anniston, Ala.; four grandchildren, Tiphani Bratcher, Tommy Dennis, Lee Dennis and Casiah Dennis; siblings, Margie Wright and husband, Mike, Cathy Riggs and husband, Harold, and Ralph Bratcher and wife, Liz; sister-in-law, Nell Bratcher; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James Riggs, Danny Bratcher, Ralph Bratcher, Jr., Jamie Smith, Josh Smith and Matt Smith.
Marie Jarnigan

Marie Jarnigan, 88, of Russellville passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at Generations in Red Bay. She was born Feb. 2, 1922 in Birmingham, Ala. to Bert and Vera Acton Bailey. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Red Bay. She was a former member, Sunday school teacher and piano player of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Martin and Bro. Gerald Hoyle officiating. Burial was at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
She is survived by four children, Roger Jarnigan and wife, Barbara, of Red Bay, Mary Margaret Hoyle and husband, Gerald, of Pell City, Ala. Talton Jarnigan and wife, Joan, and Katherine Johnson and husband, John, all of Russellville; one sister, Louise Lockley, of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Kermit Bailey and wife, Jeannette, of Springville, Ala. and Melvin Bailey and wife, Audrey, of Birmingham, Ala.; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Jarnigan; and her parents.
Pallbearers were Mike Hoyle, Matthew Jarnigan, Jacob Jarnigan, Todd Johnson, David Speer, Carl Baggett and Josh Mitchell.
Willie Francis Conwill

Willie Francis Conwill, 86, of Tremont, Miss. passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at her residence. She was born Sept. 8, 1923 in Franklin County to Calhoun and Annie Clingan Griffus. She was a seamstress and a member of Pineville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.C. Blackburn and Bro. John Oliver officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Golden, Miss.
She is survived by three sons, Doug Conwill and wife, Cherry, and Jim Conwill, all of Tremont, Miss. and Milton Conwill and wife, Sue, of Hamilton, Ala.; one sister, E.C. Humphries, of Hamilton, Ala.; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
Pallbearers were Brent Conwill, Scott Conwill, Josh Conwill, Josh Smith, Jeremy West and Kyle Conwill. Honorary pallbearer was Sonny Conwill.
C. Noland Lindsey

C. Noland Lindsey, 80, of Russellville passed away on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at Burns Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at Crooked Oak Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Hershal Quinn and Bro. Cayce Harrison officiating. Interment was at Crooked Oak Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
Pallbearers were Graton Hester, Bill Brown, Dwight Love, J.W. Lindsey, Ray Lindsey and Aubrey Kimbrough. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Fredrick, Jamie Medley, Brent Davis, Anthony Cross, Scott Lindsey, Tyler Newton, Allen Newton, Kevin Hubbard and Chris Scott.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Kimbrough Lindsey; son, Noland N. Lindsey; daughter, Elaine Brown; grandson, Chris Brown; parents, Archie and Lucy Dill Lindsey; brothers, Arnold Lindsey and Simpson Lindsey.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Betty Montgomery Lindsey; daughter, Sandra Newton and husband, Robert; son, James Henry Lindsey and wife, Brenda; daughter-in-law, Judy Lindsey; sister, Velma Ruth Kimbrough; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Crooked Oak Missionary Baptist Church.
The family expresses their thanks to all the staff at Burns Nursing Home for their consideration and care given them during Mr. Lindsey’s illness.
Albin J. Ory

Albin J. Ory, 73, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at his residence.
He lived most of his life in Franklin County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He graduated from Coffee High School, class of 1955 and attended Florence State College and was in the ROTC program. He worked in the family owned business, Ory’s Cleaners and Laundry, Reynolds Metals Company, Weslam Restaurants where he was district manager, Waste Management, owned his own photography business, Capture the Moment, and was manager for Webb Oil.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville with Bro. Wade Wallace officiating. Burial followed in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Judy Faye Ory, of Russellville; daughter, Anna Langley and husband, Charles, of Florence; sister, Anna Whorton, of Texas; grandsons, Warren Pinkston, Anthony Langley, Matthew Langley; granddaughters, Tiffany Ory, Kayla Mundt; mother-in-law, Reba Patrick, of Russellville.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Patrick, Johnny Patrick, David Patrick, Matthew Langley, Barry Cummings and Aaron Fisher.
He was preceded in death by parents, F. W. and Katherine Kane Ory; sister, Marie Ratagick; daughters, Mary Catherine Pinkston, Susan Mundt; granddaughters, Emily Pinkston and Mary Barron.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of the Shoals or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
