Russellville Police are looking for suspects involved in a late night burglary over the weekend.
Authorities responded to a burglar alarm set off by thieves at a local animal clinic late Sunday night.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said the burglars broke into the Franklin County Animal Clinic located on Alabama 24 using a large piece of asphalt to bust out the front window and get inside the clinic.
The thieves were able to walk away with tranquilizers and various drugs used to stabilize aggressive animals, investigators said.
Hargett said the police canine unit was able to track a scent leading over to Fillmore Street, but was unable to find anyone to question.
Anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to contact the Russellville Police Department at 332-2230.
