Russellville has had plenty of good offensive players this decade and junior running back Brent Calloway is the latest player to join the list.
Calloway provided the Golden Tigers with a consistent running attack and helped them reach the Class 5A state championship game for the second year in a row.
During 15 games this season, Calloway gained 1,461 yards on 200 carries for an average of 7.3 yards per carry. He scored 22 rushing touchdowns while fumbling only three times.
Calloway was sixth on the team in both receptions and receiving yards.
He caught 12 passes for 119 yards, which is an average of 9.9 yards per catch.
Three of his catches went for touchdowns.
His offensive numbers would have been even better, but he did not carry the full load of running back duties since he played linebacker on defense from time to time.
As a linebacker, Calloway recorded 55 total tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks.
