Tharptown fell behind 4-0 to start the game, but went on an 11-3 run to close out the opening quarter to take the lead.
Sheffield chipped away at the lead and a late 3-pointer in the second quarter gave the Lady Bulldogs a 20-19 lead at halftime.
The teams swapped the lead several times in the third quarter, and when it looked as though Sheffield would pull away, Kendra Baker sank a 3-pointer to tie the game 28-28.
From there the Lady Bulldogs did pull away thanks to a 9-3 run to close the quarter.
