Tharptown fell behind 4-0 to start the game, but went on an 11-3 run to close out the opening quarter to take the lead.
Sheffield chipped away at the lead and a late 3-pointer in the second quarter gave the Lady Bulldogs a 20-19 lead at halftime.
The teams swapped the lead several times in the third quarter, and when it looked as though Sheffield would pull away, Kendra Baker sank a 3-pointer to tie the game 28-28.
From there the Lady Bulldogs did pull away thanks to a 9-3 run to close the quarter.
Chelsea McCluskey led the Lady Wildcats with 14 points while Baker added 13.
Also scoring for Tharptown were Chloe Lane (5), Kamri Sears (4), Breadon Sellers (3), Heather Hatton (2) and Joshlyn Rhea (2).
