Billy Ray Kimbrough
November 17, 2009
Billy Ray Kimbrough, 77, of Phil Campbell, Ala. passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at Helen Keller Hospital. He was born in Mt. Hope, Ala. on Thursday, December 24, 1931 to Clifton &Evie Bell Little Kimbrough.
The funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Stan Galloway and Bro. Randall Tice officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joel Kimbrough, Jared Kimbrough, Kyle Kimbrough, Charles Bentley, Lloyd Love, Jr., and Karol Beasley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton C. &Evie Kimbrough; brother, Herman Kimbrough; granddaughter, Ashley Kimbrough.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Beasley Kimbrough; sons, David Kimbrough &wife, Kim, Michael Kimbrough &wife, Lora Lee; 7 grandchildren, Joel Kimbrough, Jared Kimbrough, Andrea Kimbrough, Tyler Davis, Kelly Dorroh &husband, SSgt. Joseph, Kyle Kimbrough and Alli Kimbrough; 4 great-grandchildren, Laila Kimbrough, Austin Kimbrough, Rylee Kimbrough and Evie Dorroh.
He was a deacon at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church; and a member of The Masters' Quartet. He was an Army veteran having served from 1955 to 1957.

Terry Lee Myers, 64, of Russellville passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at Huntsville Hospital.
The visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. James Galloway officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Francis Myers.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Myers; children, James Cook and wife, Becky, of Bar Nunn, Wyo., Nathan Myers, of Coalville, Utah, Paula Cook, of Russellville, and Terry Molnar; grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Hailey, Kayla, Alissa, Shawney, Naomi, Danielle, and Sam; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Klaire, Viridiana, Braedan, Sophia, Kaeda, and Zillah; brother, Roscoe Myers; sisters, Trudy Puffenburger, Ellen Clausen, and Mary Chyanick; special family friend, Cheryl George; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a great husband, father and grandfather. His favorite hobby was going to yard sales and having his own yard sales. He will be missed by all.
Wiilie C. "W.C." Rooks

Willie C. "W.C." Rooks, 84, of Russellville, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at Russellville Hospital. He was a member of the Ralph Bishop Chapter of Franklin County State Retired Employees, an amateur radio operator, and a deacon at First Baptist Church of Russellville.
The visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Jerry Curry and Rev. Barry Holcomb officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lilly C. Rooks; daughter, Amanda Turnock and husband, David, of Granbury, Texas; grandson, Christopher S. Arthur, of Russellville; sister, Ruth Adams, of Oneonta; brother, Harold Rooks and wife, Nadine, of Douglasville, Ga.; one niece and one nephew.
The Pritchard Sunday School class of First Baptist Church of Russellville will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Russellville, P.O. Box 326, Russellville, AL 35653 or to the charity of your choice.
Phyllis Ann Hatton Waldrep

Phyllis Ann Hatton Waldrep, 53, of Russellville, Ala. passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Russellville Hospital.
The visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Akins Funeral Home. The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Jones officiating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virmon and Estelle Hatton.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Waldrep; daughter, Tracy Fortenberry and husband, Brian; sisters, Dorothy Cooper and husband, Jim, Shirley Duncan and husband, Norris, Sharline Dempsey and husband, Terry; brothers, Donald Hatton and wife, Dorothy, and Morris Hatton and wife, Bobbie; grandchildren, Andrew Lee Hopkins, Alana Grace Smith and Jacob Fortenberry.
