PC earns split,THS sweeps Addison

PHIL CAMPBELL – The Phil Campbell girls basketball team fought hard, but could not keep up with Belgreen as the Lady Bobcats fell 48-36 Friday.
Caitlin Stancil led Phil Campbell with 16 points while Ciara Harville added 10.
Also scoring for the Lady Bobcats were Whitley Yocom (4), Caden Pruitt (3), Ashley Jones (2) and Tiffany Miller (1).
Belgreen's Katelin Barber was the game's leading scorer with 18 points. Amber Smith added 10.
Other scorers for the Lady Bulldogs include Anna DeVaney (6), Katy Britton (4), and Loren McVicker (2).

Belgreen 39
Lawrence Butts scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Bobcats past Belgreen 56-39 Friday.
Bailey Welborn chipped in with 10 points while Austin Nix added seven.
Also scoring for the Bobcats were Matt Waid (6), Jordan Benford (5), Dillan Hamby (4), and Seth Brown (2).
Belgreen's Austin Oldag, Colt Hester and Daniel Melecio scored six points each to lead the Bulldogs while Josh Quillen, Will Hester and Cody Glasgow scored five points each.
Brian Vance, Samuel Melecio and Jake Tittle round out the scoring for Belgreen with two points each.
Tharptown 54
Addison 46
The Lady Wildcats used 23 points from Chelsea McCluskey to knock off Addison 54-46 Thursday night.
Kendra Baker added 10 points for Tharptown while Tosha George scored seven points.
Also scoring for the Lady Wildcats were Heather Hatton and Kamri Sears with four points each and Breadon Sellers, Elly Valdez and Lori Metcalf with two points each.
Tharptown 67
Addison 51
Manny Ricardo scored 14 points to help the Wildcats cruise to a 67-51 victory against Addison Thursday.
Wesley Borden added 13 points while Jacob Parker scored eight.
Also scoring for the Wildcats were Trevor Hallmark (7), Devin Lawson (6), Brandon Cothrum (5), Wade Berryman (5), Tyler Fisher (3), Matt Austin (2), Justin Britnell (2) and Nathan Gray (2).
