Harold Ray Hawkins

Harold Ray Hawkins, 65, of Russellville passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Graveside services were held Nov. 17 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery with Ayieeshya Murphy officiating.
He is survived by his daughters, Ayieeshya Murphy, Joleen Jansen, Maxine Hawkins, Sandra Hawkins, Beverly Cramer and Barbara Hawkins; brother, Otis Hawkins; sister, Betty Dozard; and twelve grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Hawkins, C.G. Nesmith, Adrian Young, Caleb Hawkins and Jeffrey Murphy.
Syble Rachel Doyle

Syble Rachel Doyle, 80, of Spruce Pine passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at her residence.
She was an active member of Oakwood Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #256, Russellville.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Wayne Boyles officiating. Interment will be in Spruce Pine Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Golda Mae Roberts; brothers, Lowell Roberts, Frank Roberts and Bill Roberts; and sister, Lona Pounders.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Doyle; daughters, Debra Sheffield Colburn, of Spruce Pine, Patty Andres and husband, Danny, of Hartselle, Coleen Ergle, of Phil Campbell, Kassy Franks, of Russellville; son, John Sheffield and wife, Ruby, of Spruce Pine; brother, Hobert Roberts; grandchildren, Zach Andrews, Jessica McBrayer, Kelly Ergle, Julie Ergle, Bryand Franks, Julie Franks, Chad Michael Sheffield, Lesley Sheffield, Chadwick Miller and wife, Kristen, John Mark Sheffield; great-grandchild, Chloe Sheffield; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks for the care shown by Southern Care Hospice.
Allie Wyvonne Antepenko

Allie Wyvonne Antepenko, 78, of Spruce Pine, Ala. passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Antepenko lived most of her life in Franklin County and was a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Franklin Memory Mausoleum. Funeral services were held Nov. 17 at Franklin Memory Mausoleum with Lonnie Oldag officiating. Entombment followed immediately after the service.
Survivors include husband, Daniel Antepenko; daughter, Dianne Richerson; brothers, Teddy Grissom, J.C. Grissom, all of Spruce Pine, James Grissom, of Jasper, Ala.; sister, lra Mae Lewis, of Spruce Pine, grandchildren, Jennifer Bryant, Emily Rush Roberts, Aaron Bryant; great grandchildren, Caleb Bryant, Dylan Bryant; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Pearl Grissom.
Mary Marie Holland

Mary Marie Halland, 79, of Golden, Miss. passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at The Meadows in Fulton, Miss. She was born August 22, 1930 in Prentiss County, Miss. to Henry and Lillian Smith Heavner. She was an employee of Blue Bell, a published song writer and a member of First Baptist Church of Red Bay.
Funeral services were held Nov. 11, at Deaton Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Woods and Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Burial was in Pilot Hill Cemetery in Vina.
She is survived by six children, Connie McKinney, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Mark Aldridge and wife, Edie, of Dora, Ala., Linda Self and husband, john, of Red Bay, Brenda Deaton and husband, Mike, of Golden, Miss, Malia Szymanski and husband, Chris, of Zion, Ill. and Joel Aldridge and wife, Debbie, of Vina; two step-children, Harvey Holland, and Carl Holland and wife, Felicia, both of Zion, Ill. two brothers, Smith Heavner and wife, Sarah, of Tupelo, Miss. and Troy Heavner, of Zion, Ill.; one sister, Bobbie Roye and husband, Sam, of Amory, Miss.; fifteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin Idines Holland; her parents; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; three brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Jeff Deaton, JED Aldridge, Richard McKinney, Duell Aldridge, Daryl Aldridge, David McKinney, Joe McKinney, Jerry Self, John Szymanski, Alex Szymanski and Charmin Self. Honorary pallbearers were Christopher Szymanski and Joel Bruce Aldridge.
Dorothy Scott Duncan

Dorothy Scott Duncan, 75, of Red Bay passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 16, 1934 in Tenn. to Sterling O. and Lois Mae Smith Scott. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Red Bay.
Funeral services were held Nov. 14 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bor. David Kelley officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Red Bay.
She is survived by three daughters, Macel Bohannon, of Florence, Melissa Readence and Phyllis Quinones, both of Red Bay; sister, Shirley Pounders, of St. Joseph, Mich.; ten grandchildren, Nicole, George, Jason Jazzmen, Ariana, Julianna, Timothy, Jeff, Crystal and Copeland; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arbie Cecil Duncan; and her parents.
Pallbearers were Jeff Bohannon, George Quinones, Jim Everett, Jimmy Duncan, Donnie Roberts and Dean Hubbard.
Eddie Wilson Mink

Eddie Wilson Mink, 103, of Red Bay, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville. She was born may 29, 1906 in Miss. to George Daniel and Mary Jane Hall Wilson. She was a homemaker and an active member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church for many years. She love flowers and could see beauty wherever she went and was a member of the Red Bay Garden Club for twenty years. She had so much love for her family. She lived a long wonderful life and was an inspiration to all. Mrs. Mink was a jewel that will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family.
Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark McCraney and David Corum officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery in Golden, Miss.
She is survived by two sons, Harold Mink, of Huntsville, Ala. and Kenneth Mink and wife, Polly, of Russellville; three granddaughters, Janice Edwards and wife, Jess, of Middleton, Md., Paula Smith and husband, Craig, of Mobile, Ala. and Pamela Mink, of Huntsville; two grandsons, George Mink and wife, Miranda, of Huntsville, and Randy Mink and wife, Delenda, of Red Bay; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver H. Mink; her parents; a daughter-in-law; and a granddaughter.
