FRANCIS BEATRICE POUNDERS PEARSON

Francis Beatrice Pounders Pearson, 65, of Mountain View, Mo. passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2009 in West Plains, Mo. at Ozarks Medical Center.
Francis was born on May 18, 1944 in Spruce Pine, Ala. to Alvie and Racheal Pounders.
Francis lived the early part of her life with her parents, two brothers, Johnnie and Raymond and two sisters Ruth Ann and Barbara Gail in Alabama. The family moved to Mountain View in 1958. Francis married Mack Pearson on June 15, 1963 in Mountain View, Mo. during a terrific storm and part of the ceremony was performed by candlelight. To this union two sons were born, James Michael and Travis Allen.
Francis was a long time member of the United Methodist Church of Mountain View, Mo. Francis worked as a secretary for Smith Flooring, Inc in Cabool and Mountain View, Mo., and Smith's Gas and Appliance in Mountain View.
Francis was preceded in death by her parents Alvie and Rachael. Francis is survived by her husband Mack of the home; son Mike and wife Becky of Cabool, Missouri; son Travis and wife Suzanne of Willow Springs; three very special grandchildren that she dearly cherished, grandson Drew of Cabool and granddaughters Allison and Macy of Willow Springs; sisters, Ruth Ann Smotherman and husband Larry of Mountain View, Mo. and Barbara Gail Wilcox and husband Tommy of Calera, Ala.; brothers, Johnnie Pounders and wife, Joanne of Spruce Pine, Ala. and Raymond Pounders of Columbiana, Ala.; very special nieces and nephews, Penny Sansouci, David, Dale and Joseph Smotherman, Vicki Pounders, Kim Allen, Billy Ralph Pounders, Ramona Wakefield, Lisa McCall, Melissa Roberts, John Eric Goff; and a host of special great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Francis was very involved with her church. She enjoyed and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of Francis' friends and family for the many acts of kindness, countless prayers and support during her illness.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her honor to United Methodist Church of Mountain View.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Osiel officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Online guestbook at www.yarbermortuary.com.
