Tigers hosting Furman for Homecoming

A week after an emotional win against Southeastern Conference Western Division foe Ole Miss, Auburn gets a much-needed break as the Tigers host Furman for homecoming.
The Tigers (6-3, 3-3) will use Ben Tate, the SEC's leading rusher with 1,067 yards, as the main offensive attack. His 3,026 career rushing yards put him in fifth-place on the Auburn all-time rushing list.
Quarterback Chris Todd is 22nd in the nation in yards per completion (13.51) and 46th in the nation in passing efficiency (135.34) and his 13 touchdown passes ranks 34th in the NCAA.
Trying to slow the Auburn offense will be a Furman defense led by linebacker Kadarron Anderson. He has 100 tackles this season, 74 of which have come in the pervious four games.
Quarterback Jordan Sorrells, who has passed for 1,738 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, leads the Paladins' offense. His favorite target is Adam Mims, who has caught 55 passes for 613 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Auburn defensive lineman Antonio Coleman will lead the Tigers as they try to stop the Furman attack. Coleman leads the Tigers with in tackles for a loss (11) and sacks (5.5).
Walter McFadden's four interceptions are a team best and ranks second in the SEC and ties for 25th nationally. That is the most interceptions by an Auburn player in a single season since Junior Rosegreen recorded six interceptions in 2004.
This will be he fourth time these two teams have met and Auburn holds a 3-0 record with two shutouts.
The Tigers have won 17 straight homecoming games and their average margin of victory during that stretch is 24.1 points.
