RB ends on 4-game skid

COLBERT HEGHTS – Red Bay's hopes of building momentum before it beings the playoffs next week ended Thursday night when the Tigers lost to Colbert Heights 39-21.
It was the fourth straight loss for the Tigers.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 26-0 lead in the first half, but Joseph Reach put the Tigers (5-5, 4-3) on the scoreboard with a 2-yard run to finish a 57-yard drive shortly before halftime.
Colbert Heights scored twice in the third quarter to extend its lead to 39-7.
Red Bay answered with a 33-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Childers to Kevin Hastings and a 23-yard touchdown run by Reach.
The Wildcats rolled up 379 yards of total offense, 277 of which came through the air, while holding Red Bay to 259 yards. The Tigers had 156 rushing yards.
Red Bay, the fourth seed in Class 2A, Region 8, will travel to Lamar County next week for the opening round of the state playoffs. The game begins at 7 p.m.
