Red Bay ready for WCA

RED BAY – The Red Bay defense is out to prove last year's game against Westminster Christian Academy was a fluke.
The Tigers won the game 51-26, but the highlight of the game was WCA's quarterback Brian Park.
Park completed a state-record 39 passes in the loss.
The Red Bay defense has changed since last season.
The defenders dominated Lee-Huntsville last week and recorded six interceptions against the Generals. The Tigers also shut out the Class 5A school to earn a victory.
This week they will face WCA again, but Park is no longer a member of the Wildcats.
It's doubtful the new quarterback will be able to break Parks' record as both teams try to get an early advantage in the race to the Class 2A, Region 8 title.
The Red Bay offense will also try to extend its impressive performance against Lee in which it put 34 points on the board.
The game is at 7 p.m. Friday at Red Bay.
