The Russellville Fire Department is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, July 21 at the new fire station.
Fire Marshall Bobby Malone said this is the first blood drive that will be held at the new fire station, but it is not an open house.
"We are going to have an open house on down the line, but we are having a blood drive here," Malone said.
Malone said they would like to register at least 50 donors at this event in order to help Alabama hospitals.
"All blood types are needed, but types O and B are especially needed this summer," Malone said.
Blood donors will reciev a free t-shirt, coupons for free fast food items, and will be automatically be entered into the July "Give Blood and See America" drawing for $1000 gas card.
Malone said donors will also be treated to a Cattlemen's ground chuck burger.
"We'd like to thank Orland Britnell, Jack Hargett, Greg Smith, and Thomas Harbin for donating their time and burgers to feed hungry blood donors," Malone said.
The blood drive will be held from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The new fire station is located at 100 South Jackson.
