A birthday worth celebrating

This weekend our nation will celebrate another birthday.
That's what the July Fourth holiday is – a birthday party.
It is the celebration of the birth of a nation.
It is a celebration of the most successful democracy in world history.
We are all blessed beyond measure to live in the United States of America.
A country where we have the rights and freedoms to live, work, worship and play without fear of persecution and prosecution.
A land for which countless men and women have died so that others' rights are protected.
This Fourth of July we should all be so mindful of what we have and thankful for this nation that God gave us.
Without His blessings upon this country, we certainly would not be celebrating its 233rd birthday.
So as we celebrate, let's all remember who gave us these freedoms that we hold so dear.
