Television crews coming to the county

Television crews will be visiting Franklin County in mid-July to document the Quinn's Ranch boys' home in Red Bay and a subsequent book that will benefit the ranch.
Regional television station, CSS, will be filming footage of numerous state high school football coaches and Southeastern Conference coaches and players as they discuss their work with the ranch.
A yet to be titled book will be released in 2010 that features such known names as former Alabama Coach Gene Stallings, Mississippi State Coach Dan Mullen, Florida Coach Urban Meyer and Heisman Trophy winning Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.
"This is a God-blessed thing," said Shea Lowery, executive director of the Quinn's Ranch and author of the book.
All proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the ranch, which began serving needy boys in the county in 2002.
The July event will attract high school coaches from across the state that have worked with the ranch in the past.
"High school football coaches all over Alabama have been very good and supportive to Quinn's Ranch," Lowery said.
The CSS crew will discuss the coaches' relationship with the ranch and the significance that such a place makes in the lives of young boys.
The book, which will hit store shelves sometime next year, will carry quite a message, Lowery said.
"It will have a lot of great messages in it," she said. "We are really excited and believe that it will be a great book."
