Tharptown youth football sign-ups
July 12
Signups and uniform fittings for the Tharptown Youth Football League will be held Saturday, July 12 from 9 a.m. in the high school cafeteria. Registration is $50 for ages 6-12 years old, and the cut-off date is Aug. 1. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate. Free football speed camp
July 12
DECATUR – The second annual Taye Biddle Speed Camp will be held Saturday, July 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Decatur High School. The camp is free for ages six and up. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with lunch and awards at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Russellville youth football signups
July 12
The final registration date for the Russellville Youth Football league will be Saturday, July 12 at the Russellville Recreation Center from 9 a.m. to noon. The age group is 5-12 years old, and the cost to sign up $65. If this is your child's first year to play, we need a birth certificate copy. For more information, contact Peggy Hipps at 436-4074.
RHS Booster Club meeting
July 16
The Russellville Golden Tiger Booster Club will meet Wednesday, July 16 at 8 p.m. at the Russellville High School Field House. Please bring any football program ads and money. Anyone who is interested in joining is also encouraged to attend.
Russellville youth football camp
July 23-24
The Russellville High School football program will hold its annual youth football camp July 23-24 from 8 a.m. until noon for grades 1-8. Registration costs $25 and will be held at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23.
PCHS alumni golf tournament
July 26
The Phil Campbell Booster Club will hold its annual PCHS Alumni Golf Tournament Saturday, July 26 at the Haleyville Country Club. The format is a three-man scramble with morning and afternoon tee times available and a shotgun start. Bring your own team, and cost is $60 per player. Sponsorship holes are available for $100.
