There may be business slumps in much of the country, but in Russellville there will be new businesses opening soon.
Butch Benton, owner of the Guthrie's complex, is in the process of building and filling four available units, adjoining the ones already in place. Those already established are Guthrie's, Cole Insurance, Hello Gorgeous! and Jewelry by Johnny.
"I am proud of Butch helping with economic growth here in Russellville," Mayor Johnny Brown said. "This gives the people of Russellville more choices of businesses."
The addition will include four 1,500 square foot unit, which will be complete and available for rent at the end of July.
"It is a real pleasure to work with Butch on this project," Brown said. "Seeing new businesses find their home in Russellville is a great thing and I'm glad to be a part of it."
Benton feels the same and looks forward to the continued growth.
"We're glad to be in Russellville," Benton said. "This relationship that we have with the city and the mayor has really worked well."
One unit is already reserved and the announcement of that business will be released at a later date.
For more information regarding the available units, call Benton at 205-269-3095.
