Business expansion good for area

With so much talk about a slowing economy and a struggle to survive, it is a good sign to see new businesses coming to the area and existing businesses looking to expand.
Butch Benton, owner of the Guthrie's complex, is in the process of building and filling four available units, adjoining the ones already in place, on U.S. 43 in Russellville. Those already established are Guthrie's, Cole Insurance, Hello Gorgeous! and Jewelry by Johnny.
It is a good sign anytime businesses are looking to grow, especially here in this particular time.
The addition will include four 1,500 square foot unit, which will be complete and available for rent at the end of July.
One unit is already reserved and the announcement of that business will be released at a later date.
Hopefully Franklin County businesses will continue to find ways to survive and prosper. The new expansion of the Guthrie's complex is certainly a good sign.
