Thelma Mae Guerra

Thelma Mae Ledbetter Guerra, 67, of Vina, died May 16, 2008, at her residence.
She was born May 22, 1940, in Vina, to Thurston and Pearlie Thorn Ledbetter. She was formerly a resident of Jacksonville and was a caregiver for animals, a Christian, devoted mother and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Sarah Ann Ledbetter, Icie Dewdrop Stanphill and Darlene Ledbetter, and one brother, William Franklin Ledbetter.
Funeral services were held on May 18, 2008, at Deaton Funeral Home with Bro. W.D. Humphres officiating. Burial was in Old Burleson Cemetery.
She is survived by two children, Margaret Ann Guerra, of Jacksonville, and Richard Guerra (Tammy), of Naples, Italy; two sisters, Ester Jane Ledbetter, of Vina, and Nancy Hudson (Leslie) of Garden City, two nephews and three great nieces.
Pallbearers were Richard Guerra, Leslie Hudson, Greg Hudson, Jeff Hudson, Greg Miller and Leburn Keeton.

Billy Edward Beck, of Haleyville, passed away on May 14, 2008.
He was born on April 8, 1952, and was a lifelong resident of Winston County.
A memorial service was held on May 19, 2008, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with J.D. Snoddy officiating. Burial was in Ephesus Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Gravitt Beck; sons, Jonathan Beck and Joshua Beck; stepchildren, Billy Heath Steele, Tony Steele and Kim Kinchen; brothers, Don Carden and Jim Beck; sisters, Patricia Clark, Shirley Bowen, Elva Anderson; special friend, Tommy Johnson and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Beck and Mellie Florena Carden Parrish; niece, Tabitha Clark and stepson, Tim Steele.
