Saturday Update: Shooting victim in serious condition

A Tuscumbia man remains in serious condition after being shot Thursday night while while attempting to break into a house owned by a former girlfriend.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said Donielle Mauary Warren, 38, of Florence, was shot once in the abdomen. Police were dispatched to the scene after the neighbors called 911 after hearing shots fired at the residence.
Hargett said that Warren was taken to Russellville Hospital initially but flown to Huntsville for further treatment. He is currently listed in serious condition.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said the woman was not injured and has not been charged. The case will be presented to an upcoming grand jury session to allow jurors to determine if charges are warranted.
