What will you feed him

By Staff
Guess who is coming to your town soon.
I'll give you a few hints:

  • He's got a beard that's long and white.
    It must be Santa.
Are you ready for his visit? You had better be! He depends on nutritious snacks to give him strength for his long journey.
Santa loves cookies and milk very much, much like you do. But, Santa needs a few other snacks to make him happy. You know what we mean.
Things like grapes, apple slices with peanut butter and a few mixed nuts. A little vitamin enriched chocolate milk might help Santa, too.
Did you know that Santa likes notes from you?
He likes to hear about your friends, your school, your family and an occasional thanks for what he does for you.
He would also enjoy a nice comfortable chair or sofa to rest on for a few minutes while he enjoys his snacks.
Christmas is a very special time.
We can help make it a special day with the things we do for each other.
Santa might enjoy some M&M cookies.
    Do you enjoy making cookies?
Maybe someone in your family can help you prepare some cookies for Santa this year.
    Try this recipe:
    M&M cookies
    1 c. M&M candies
    2 c. all purpose flour
    1/2 t. baking soda
    1/2 t. baking powder
    1 and 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 t. vanilla
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add all other ingredients and blend. Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Now eat and enjoy your cookies but don't forget to save some for Santa. He will be very happy this year.
