Reclassification results ready for member schools
MONTGOMERY – The Alabama High School Athletic Association's Central Board approved the 2008-10 school reclassification Nov. 14.
The information is now available to members schools at www.ahsaa.com. The information will be released Monday to the media and and the public.

Youth basketball deadline Saturday
November 17
The Russellville Parks and Recreation department is holding registration for youth basketball until Nov. 17. The program is for boys and girls ages 6-18 years old, and the age control date is September 1, 2007. Cost is $35 per player, or $60 fwo players. The late registration deadline is November 19-24, with a $5 late fee. For more information, contact the department at 332-8770.
Dam-Bridge 10K to run tomorrow
November 17
FLORENCE – The third annual Dam-Bridge Run 10K race will be held Saturday, November 17 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center. The certified course crosses the Tennessee River on the historic Wilson Dam, and returns across the Patton Island Bridge. Each river crossing is approximately 0.8 miles. Registration price is $20. The Phil Campbell junior varsity home game against Belgreen has been moved from Friday, November 2 to Friday, November 30.
Resort announces benefit tourney
December 6
FLORENCE – The first annual Doublehead Resort Sporting Clay Benefit will be held Friday, December 6 at the resor's multi-station sporting clay course. The five-member teams will enjoy a day of shooting that will also include breakfast, lunch, shooter's package and prizes. The entry fee is $500 per team, and all proceeds will benefit the Northwest Alabama Community Health Association. There is a limit of 20 teams for the tournament.
