Fire up the nacho machines, football Friday is here

By Staff
Few things in the State of Alabama generate the chatter that football does. It's basically a year round discussion.
From May to July, you talk about the promise of the upcoming season. From August to January, you critique each and every call and each and every game.
From February to April, you talk about what might have been, and what should have been.
Then, it's time to start the whole thing over again.
This Friday night our local high schools lace up their cleats for their first game of the 2007 campaign. These young men and their coaches have put a lot of sweat and dedication into this season and want to make a big impression. The cheerleaders have been honing their routines for months and the band has been practicing – well, does the band ever stop practicing?
All of our local schools have a lot of talent on showcase tonight and we urge you to stop by one of the local fields and enjoy four quarters, a hot dog and a cold drink.
There's hardly a better form of family entertainment than a good high school football game and you'll have you pick of them tonight.
So, pack up the family a few padded bleacher seats and some school spirit. Championships are out there to be won and it all starts tonight.
