    Luke E. Alexander, age 59, of Russellville, passed away Friday, March 11, 2005.
    Mr. Alexander was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a very gentle and caring person. He graduated from the University of Alabama and Alabama School of Law. He had practiced law in Russellville for 28 years with Guin, Bouldin and Alexander Law Firm. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Edward and Mary Wilson Alexander.
    Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Moulton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clinton Busler officiating.
    Pallbearers were Jerry Wade, Dwayne Hatton, John Davidson, Bill Bouldin, Brandon Gann, Ken Hatton, Jerry Porch and Leon Campbell.
    Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Sherry Jenkins Alexander; two sons, Edward Paul Alexander and wife Wanda, of Russellville, and Erik Shawn Alexander of Maryland; a daughter, Erika Shaye Fischbauch and husband Tad, of Frankfort, Germany; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
    Willie Evelyn Baker, age 85, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005.
    Mrs. Baker was a very caring, loving and selfless person, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Anyone who knew her loved her. She will be missed by all. Her life was a living testimony. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clyde Baker; a son, James Rhodle Baker; her parents, Rev. H.P. Jackson and Evie Moore Jackson; and a grandson, James A. Baker.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Keith Prince and Bro. Dennis Steward officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
    Mrs. Baker is survived by a son, A.C. Baker of Double Springs; three daughters, Annette Sherrill and husband Stanley, of Hamilton, Judith Geline Prince of Russellville, and Juanell Potter of Muscle Shoals; a sister, Ophelia Jackson Smith of Russellville; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    Spry Chapel assisted the family.
    Arizona B. Eberling, age 84, of Phil Campbell, passed away Friday, March 11, 2005.
    Mrs. Eberling was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Eberling; her parents, Columbus Borden and Novella Roberts Borden; and four brothers, Howard, Lenord, Cralles and C.G. Borden, Jr.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Olie Pierce officiating. Interment was in Edgars Chapel Cemetery in the Gravel Hill Community.
    Mrs. Eberling is survived by a sister, Rose Wilson and husband Harold, of Wisconsin; two brothers, L.C. Borden and wife Wyvonia, and I.J. Borden and wife Jereline, both of Phil Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

    Elsie Mae Gaston, age 90, of Mt. Hope, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Russellville Health Care.
    Mrs. Gaston was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Homer Gaston; three sisters, Joyce Gaston, Mary Francis Stanford and Bessie Willingham; and four brothers, Joel, Jim, John and Joe Bishop.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Eddie Wicks officiating. Interment was in Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Matthew Massey, Mark Massey, Hollis Gaston, Charles Sanford, Hershel Spruell, Clanton Hovater and Hollis Montgomery.
    Mrs. Gaston is survived by a son, Billie Gaston and wife Katie, of Mt. Hope; two grandchildren, Rebecca Massey and husband Royce, of Belgreen, and Mike Gaston and wife Fay, of Russellville; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Massey of Tuscumbia, Mark Massey of Tuscaloosa, and Meagan and Molly Gaston, both of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.
    The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Russellville Health Care.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Lucy Mae Morgan, age 85, of Phil Campbell, passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at Russellville Hospital.
    Mrs. Morgan lived her entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Pleasant Hill F.C.M. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Pierce; and a daughter, Phyllis Ann Morgan.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Pleasant Hill F.C.M. Church in Phil Campbell with David Phillips, Danny Hammett and Charles Dixon officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
    Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Fat Morgan; a son, Coy Morgan and wife Faye, of Phil Campbell; three grandchildren, Jerome Morgan, Dianne Dillard and Fanisa Smith; and five great-grandchildren.
    Charles Allen Reynolds, age 66, of Haleyville, passed away Monday, March 7, 2005, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
    Mr. Reynolds served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, Early Reynolds; and four brothers, Bob, Douglas, Terry and Alvin.
    Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Winston Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Charles Medlock officiating.
    Mr. Reynolds is survived by his mother, Hazel Batey, and step-father Ernest Batey, of Haleyville; a sister, Linda Hickman and husband Jim, of Haleyville; a brother, Jo Reynolds of Haleyville; a nephew, Stewart Whitlock and wife Nichole, of Haleyville; a niece, Wendy Whitlock Lee of Haleyville; two great-nephews, Cody and Chase Lee; and two great-nieces, Cori and Camryn Whitlock.
    Pinkard Funeral Home of Haleyville assisted the family.
    Alex Ellis Warren, age 74, of Red Bay, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005, at his residence.
    Mr. Warren was born in Alabama and was a carpenter for 30 years. He attended Atwood Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War, and was stationed in Germany. Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Mortie and Ophelia Harp Warren; and three brothers and one sister.
    Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2005, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Davidson and Bro. James Abston officiating. Interment was in Sparks Chapel Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Douglas Dulaney, Dale Dulaney, Kevin Woodruff, Harold Kuykendall, Bobby Joe Green and Randy Armstrong.
    Mr. Warren is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marvalene Warren; a step-son, Robert Gober and wife Janeice, of Red Bay; a step-daughter, Sheila Snider and husband Jerry, of Red Bay; five sisters, Eloise Humphres of Vina, Nelloween Martin of Willo Springs, Missouri, Ellen Jackson of Fillmore, Illinois, Shirlene Dulaney of Mantachie, Mississippi, and Jimmie Armstrong of Opelika; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Fossie Jo Whitfield, age 94, of Carbondale, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 11, 2005, at Oak Grove Rehab and Care Center of Carbondale.
    Mrs. Whitfield was born August 28, 1910, in Red Bay, to Charles Monroe and Ida Dedmon Lowery. She married Clifton Smith Whitfield on March 18, 1927, in Corinth, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Red Bay. Mrs. Whitfield was formerly of Florence and Red Bay and was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son in 1940; and one brother and seven sisters.
    Graveside funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2005, at Halltown Cemetery with Bro. Larry Hill officiating.
    Mrs. Whitfield is survived by a daughter, Donna Butler and husband Brian, of Carbondale, Illinois; a granddaughter, Celia Butler of Kansas City, Missouri; her nephew, Allan Barker, whom she raised as a son, and his wife Martha, of Ruffin, South Carolina; and numerous beloved nephews and nieces.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
