Boatner, Henry

George Buster Boatner of Meridian announces the engagement of his daughter, Susan Michelle, to Ryan Joe Henry, son of P.J. and Jean Henry of Union. Miss Boatner is also the daughter of the late Karen A. Boatner.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 19, 2004, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Union.
Miss Boatner is the granddaughter of Mildred Aycock of Meridian and the late Ralph Aycock Sr., and Lillian Boatner of Union and the late Jim Boatner of Union.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Clarkdale Attendance Center and received an associate's degree from East Central Community College in 2000. She earned a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Alabama in 2002.
While attending ECCC, she was a member of the basketball team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Sigma Mu Tau. While at UAB, she was a member of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association and a Dean's List scholar.
Miss Boatner is currently pursuing her master's degree in speech-language pathology.
Mr. Henry is the grandson of R.B. and Evelyn Hatcher of Philadelphia, and Feldera Henry of Union and the late Parker Henry.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Union High School and received an associate's degree from East Central Community College in 1995. He earned a bachelor's degree in sports medicine and athletic training from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1998 and a degree in physical therapy in 2001 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
While attending ECCC, he was a member of the golf team. While at USM, he was a student athletic trainer for the athletic department.
Mr. Henry is a physical therapist at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
