Veteran driver Lucky Keeton took the lead after the 15th lap and held on to win Saturday night in the late model feature race at the Queen City Speedway.
Keeton led the first three laps. Jimbo McDuffie took the lead in the fourth lap, but Keeton rallied back to the top of the pack in the fifth lap.
McDuffie retook the lead in the sixth lap and held it through the 14th lap. Then his car developed problems and he was finished for the night.
Keeton, who was making his second appearance at Queen City this season, took the lead and held off the stiff challenges of Marty Hardy and James Dean, who finished second and third respectively. There were five yellow flags during the 25-lap race.
Wiley Williams, who led the local point standings going into the race, had car problems that took him out of the timing trials. He started last in the 18-car field and came back to finish eighth.
Pure street division: David James took the lead in the fourth lap and held off the challenge of runner-up Jason Boleware. Mitchell Moffett led the first three laps and finished third.
Mini stock: Steve Bryan of Toomsuba led from start-to-finish in the mini stock feature race. The win helped Bryan increase his lead in the Queen City mini stock standings. Bill Bunyard came in second while Billy Ward was third.
Modifieds: Brian Chaney also helped his cause in the track's modified standings as he took the lead on the eighth lap and never trailed. Owen Bryan, who led the first seven laps, finished second. Jeffery Lawson finished third.
Late model stocks: Ray Windham chased Chris Jimerson for nine laps before passing him to win the late model stocks feature race. Jimerson placed second while Brock Busbea, who headed the track's late model stocks standings going into Saturday night, placed third.
Cruiser division: Ben Holloman and Ronnie Holloman of Quitman came out of the yellow flag on the fourth lap to take the lead and the victory in the cruiser division. Jason Vanderpoorten and Kevin Pierce placed second followed by the X2 car, driven by Amber Thrash.
Racing returns to the Queen City Speedway on Saturday night, with the Summer Sizzler 50-lap late model race heading the lineup.
