Food, entertainment and arts and crafts will highlight the first annual Enterprise May Day Festival.
The festival is set to begin at 9 a.m. and last throughout the day on May 1 in Enterprise's town park.
The festival is being sponsored by the Enterprise Woman's Club. All funds will be used by the club for civic projects in Enterprise.
Several vendors and performers are already scheduled.
Performers include Angela White, Ginger Stevens and the Snaps, The Wesley Belles, "The Singing Surgeon" Dr. Jim Matthews, Kris Carmichael on the bagpipes, the Enterprise Male Chorus, country singer Leigh Moore and gospel singer Terri Musgrove.
Vendors will sell antiques and collectibles, small woodworking products, ceramics and children's computer-generated personalized books.
What would a festival be without something to fill your stomach? The event will feature food vendors selling hamburgers, fish, hot dogs, sausage dogs and baked goods.
The Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department will be on hand to answer questions and H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital will conduct free health screenings. The Clarke County Historical Society, the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce and the Enterprise Republican Party will also have booths set up.
The Enterprise Woman's Club has been in existence for more than 50 years and currently has about 14 members. Brenda Lord is president of the club this year.
