BRANDON Services for Sarah D. Lay will be held today at 11 a.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park South Cemetery in Jackson.
Mrs. Lay, 79, of Brandon, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Survivors include her daughters, D'Arcy Masters and her husband, Keith, of Richland, Lonna Campbell and her husband, Toby, of Bailey, Lisa Boyd of Brandon and Becky Watson and her husband, Charlie, of Eagle Lake and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, MS Affiliate, P.O. Box 16808, Jackson, MS 39236 or Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 4395 South Drive, Jackson, MS 39209.
UNION Services for Frances S. Gardner will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Mike Smith, Edward Dickerson and Todd Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gardner, 86, of Newton, formerly of Union, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include a son, Andy Gardner and his wife, Caroline of Richland; a daughter, Martha Beatty of West Point; four grandchildren, Marty Stafford, Nikkie Stafford, Andrea Carol Anderson, and Jesse B. Gardner; and a brother, Henry Mack Smith of Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Gardner; and a son, Jesse Martin Gardner.
Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Marty Stafford, Jesse Gardner, Brian Frink, Ed Dickerson, and Wayne Dempsey.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

SEBASTOPOL Services for Jeffie Denson Solomon will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Solomon, 85, of Conehatta, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty John of Henning, Tenn. and Patsy Issac of Philadelphia; sons, Hillman Solomon and Hilton Solomon, both of Memphis, Tenn. and Hoye Solomon of Conehatta; 25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Odie Mae Anderson, Dorothy Chapman and Lolee Jim of Conehatta.
