Graveside services for Noreen Fitzpatrick Johnson will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Simons officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 in Meridian.
Survivors include her daughters, Joann Entrekin and her husband, Rick, of Meridian and Julianne Johnson of Alexandria, Va.; and a son, John S. Johnson of Alabama.
Graveside services for Curtis Covington will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Covington, 92, of Meridian, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Services for George W. Edwards will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian with the Rev. William Carey officiating. Burial will be in Depot Hill Street Cemetery in DeKalb.
Mr. Edwards, 79, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 at Riley Hospital. Survivors include his children, Linda E. Rayborn of Meridian and Ayman Hassan of Porterville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Rufus Edwards of Meridian; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the chapel in Meridian.

Services for Luther Ray Boone will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Concor Methodist Church with the Revs. Dennis Kennedy and Hollis Howell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boone, 83 , of Enterprise, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 in his home. He was a member of Concord Methodist Church. He was a Justice of the Peace for eight years and he served with the Lauderdale County Patrol for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Boone of Enterprise; a daughter, Mary Christine "Chris" Fettinger and her husband, Mike, of Pachuta; sisters, Estell Harmon of Quitman, Lula Faye Carter of Brandon and Willie May Myles of Madison; a grandson, Eric Johnson of Enterprise; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eulus Dyess, Allen McQueen, Will McQueen, Bill Johnson, Terry Swanner and Brad Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be W. M. "Red" Johnson, Lamar Taylor, Robert B. "Bob" Lee and Robert E. "Bob" McQueen.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

DEKALB Services for Joe Willie Wright will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian with the Rev. Drisscol McShan officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Toomsuba. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wright, 73, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include his sons, Willie Joe Wright, Alfred J. Wright and Michael Wright Sr., all of Meridian; daughters, Irma Newell and Amanda Sims, both of Meridian and Betty Sudbury of St. Louis; 26 grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Wright and Will Wright, both of Jackson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son and five siblings.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Mary E. Landrum Kreidt will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Springs Cemetery in Preston.
Mrs. Kreidt, 89, of Tupelo, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Cedars Health Center in Tupelo.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Jones of Asheville, N.C.,and Bonnie McGehe, of Belden; a son, Samuel C. Landrum of Raymond; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Seals and Gladys Shepard, both of Preston, and Mildred Baker of Asheville.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services for Faye G. Edwards will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. F. Gregory Proctor officiating. Burial will be in the columbarium at the church.
Miss Edwards, 72, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 in her home. She was born in Selma, Ala. on March 5, 1931 and moved to Meridian at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston Edwards and Eva Mae Gilbert Edwards.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. Services for Jimmie R. Johnson will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Johnson, 61, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center. He was retired from the U.S. Army Special Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps. and served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Carol F. Harvey Johnson of Meridian; daughters, Lisbet Wilford of California, Linda Ruiz of Murfreesboro, and Holly Coe of Tampa; a brother, Tim Johnson of Atlanta and a sister, Sylvia Shymko and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Services for Donald Fleming will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Preston, with the Rev. Anthony Mason officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Moscow with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Donald, 55, of Preston, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004 in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Rush Donald; his mother, Maotis Griffin, both of Preston; a son, Patrick Donald and his wife, Jessica, of Dickerson, Tenn.; daughter, Patricia Donald of Morgan City, La.; three sisters, Mae Young, Antinita Moore and her husband, Willie, of East St. Louis, Ill. and Daisy Windham and her husband, Oatis, of Preston; three brothers, J.W. Clayborne, Oneal Clayborne and his wife, Deborah, of East St. Louis and Johnny R. Clayborne of Preston; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Peggy J. Snowden, 62, of Cleveland who died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 in Cleveland.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Debbie Duvalle, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at Sky Line Medical Center in Tennessee.
