Retired City of Prichard Street Dept. employee
PHILADELPHIA Services for W.E. "Bill" Alford will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tony Wilson and Brown Barrier officiating. Burial will be in North Bend Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Alford, 92, of Eight Mile, Ala., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Eight Mile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Alford of Philadelphia, Norman Alford of Chunchula, Ala., and Raybon Alford of Eight Mile; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Retired Mississippi Dept. of Corrections law enforcement officer
PHILADELPHIA Services for Jerry Ford will be held today at 3 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Gunn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the Stevenstown Community of Neshoba County.
Mr. Ford, 64, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie M. Ford of Philadelphia; daughters, Brenda Hardy and Christy Barrier, both of Philadelphia, and Kelly Horne of Union; a son, Garry Ford of Hattiesburg; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a sister, Ellen Clayton; and brothers, Henry Ford and Lenard Ford, all of Hattiesburg.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Seale Ford; and a grandson, Richard Hardy.

MACON Services for Ervy L. Koehn will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at South Haven Mennonite Church with the Revs. Leo Classen, Larry Giesbrecht and Ron Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Koehn, 80, of Macon, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Becker Koehn of Macon; sons, Vaughn Dale Koehn of Newton and Robert L. Koehn of Macon; a daughter, Dianne Koehn Nightingale of Macon; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorena Holdeman of Whatley, Ga., Velma Holdeman, Edna Loewen, Inez Nichols and Rosella Dyck, all of Moundridge, Kan.; brothers, Arthur Koehn of Macon, Ivan Koehn and Lincoln Koehn, both of Moundridge, and Vernon Koehn of Brookston, Texas.
Visitation will be today 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the church.
MILLRY, Ala. Services for Vermell Palmer Brown will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Millry Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will be in New Millry Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brown, 81, of Millry, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her sons, Carlie Bob Turner and Cecil David Turner, both of Millry; a daughter, Linda Dianne Brown Williams of Millry; a sister, Ruby Palmer Turner of Chatom; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Brown Jr.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Freeman Gill of Meridian, who died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Kemper Homeplace Nursing Facility in DeKalb.
Arrangements were incomplete at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula for Ruby Smith Walker of Pascagoula, who died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Pascagoula.
