Excellence in Education

Justin Chancellor of Carthage and Ryan Moore of Meridian have been selected to receive the L.O. Todd Memorial Scholarship at Meridian Community College for the fall and spring semesters.
These $600 awards are funded through the MCC Foundation.
Chancellor is a 2002 graduate of Leake Academy. A dean's list scholar and Ivy League recruiter, he is a member of Phi Theta Kappa the international honorary society for two-year college students.
Chancellor is a member of the Baptist Student Union and College Republicans. He is a sophomore in the University Transfer program and plans to attend pharmacy school.
Moore, a 2002 honor graduate of Meridian High School, is a sophomore in the University Transfer Program with emphasis in business and Spanish.
He is a member of the Baptist Student Union Leadership Team, the Variations and the Chorus. Moore plans to attend seminary and ultimately become a foreign missionary.
