103rd birthday
Lula Jefferson recently celebrated her 103rd birthday with family. Mrs. Jefferson is a resident at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman. She still has a lovely smile and recognizes all her family members. She has three sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews.
50th anniversary
Alfred "Buddy" and Dorothy Dveirin of Meridian celebrated their 50th anniversary on Nov. 16, 2002, with their family. The Dveirins were married Nov. 16, 1952, in Birmingham, Ala. They have one daughter, Janice Dveirin, a seventh grade English teacher in Garland, Texas, and one son, Jack Dveirin, a lawyer in New Orleans.
