Agricultural workshop slated for Thursday

DEKALB An agricultural workshop is scheduled for Thursday at the Farmer's Market on Highway 16 east of here.
The workshop, titled "Saving the Family Farm," will offer information from experts and professors about alternative crops and farming methods, Kemper County Extension Director Ruby Rankin said.
A tour of a model farm is on the schedule, Rankin said.
Registration is at 9 a.m.; the program starts at 10 a.m.
